The avid anglers can keep their reflexes sharp regardless of the
weather with some of the bass fishing games on the market today. They
are sold for every commercial game system and format and can be played
online as well. There are many similarities in all of the available
bass fishing games, but most common is learning when to set the hook
and how to keep the right amount of tension on the line.

Yeah I agree no.
I have played a few games, cabelas games, and I have a copy of a
really cool fly fishing game....

There is no way at all in any format, on any platform that sims can
replace putting your feet in the stream, surf, pond, or even the grass
of your front lawn.

If bass guys, or any fisherman wants to hone his or her skills, they
need to grab their rod and shut off the PC. (Although I suspect the
original post may have been a trolling ad)

I learnd to use my bait caster in my yard, and there is no video game
to show you how to pick out nests. I learned to use my fly rod in the
same way... but had a harder time waiting and headed to the water
after about 10 minutes.

A video game will never catch that rush of the slurp of your fly line
as it lifts off the water with a nice trout on the fly.
It will also never replace the awe and respect as you hold your fish
by the belly, show your buddies and let him swim off upstream.
